The mystical healing power Long-loved in the last 1,300 years ago
About 1,300 years ago, an experienced priest named Gyoki was on his way to the sacred mountain of Hakusan for training. When he passed across a puddle, he witnessed a crow healing a wound on its wing, and that’s the origin of “Yamashiro Onsen” nowadays. Legends like Akiko Yosano, Kyoka Izumi, and Rosanjin have weaved visits to Yamashiro Onsen for the inspiration and awesome relaxation power of this spiritual spot.
Yamashiro Hot Spring Village comes with three slightly different spring qualities bringing a wide range of health benefits for visitors. Hakusan Shobudei is pleased to offer one of the three. Soak in Yamashiro’s hot springs and luxuriate in the moisturizing “beauty skin water”.

Soak in our excellent quality hot springs and warm your body from the inside. The spring source is a little distant from our resort so the water temperature is just right for guests at all ages. The bath area comes with a range of conscientiously selected toiletries much loved by our female guests. Our resort is also great for families as handrails are installed at the entrance to the public bath and in the bathtubs; there are also shallow areas in the baths.

“Hakusan Ichinose” is an open-air bath in “Shobunoyu” with different breathtaking views in the four distinctive seasons. It’s in the basement, and you can go in through the changing area.
